The VSSC Legacy Award were established by the Virginia Student Services Conference to recognize lifetime achievement in the field of Student Services. Award recipients have demonstrated a commitment and dedication to student development and in the field of higher education. These individuals have mentored countless staff and students and have helped shape the profession.

​The Legacy Award is presented to individuals who have served in student affairs for a minimum of 20 years and have either retired or are in their final role.
